The Keystone Bank Communication System CHIPS sub-system is a comprehensive on-line interface to the New York Clearing House. Modular in design and functionally extensible, the CHIPS subsystem is totally qualified to perform all CHIPS functions.

- Automatic advice generation for S.W.I.F.T. or TELEX transmission in accordance with bank-defined criteria
- Generation of outgoing S.W.I.F.T. or TELEX payment messages for third party items
- Capability to retrieve missing messages
- Full phone advising capability
- Full status, including counts and amounts, for all CHIPS traffic
- Support of 'release straight through' or 'store and subsequent release' capability
- Message statistics to enable department and account charging
