Tips for a successful interview

     In today's technology market, demand for IT professionals has increased, however, so has the competition. In order to present yourself as a marketable candidate, you need to show you have the skill sets required and are a flexible hard worker that can keep up with today's technology innovations. You must also be able to adapt to changing environments. For this reason, our team of recruiters at Keystone Computer Associates recommends the following tips for a successful interview:

• Always bring a copy of your resume for yourself as well as the interviewer so that you both will have a point of reference.
• Go over your driving directions prior to interview date.
• Bring a copy of the phone number for the contact you are meeting with in case you are running late.
• Your dress should be business professional.
• Bring a list of questions with you that you feel would describe important aspects of the job to you.
• Listen to the interviewer's description of the job you are applying for.  Take notes of what they say so that you may counter with your experiences as well as recap at the end of the interview.
• Make sure that when you relay your experiences that you do so in a way that is related to the job opening.
• Ask the interviewer if you have satisfied all of their questions or do you need to elaborate on any part of your background and/or experiences.
• Be sure to express interest in the job and ask if you are a candidate.
