Recruiting Process

  • Keystone uses a variety of means to attract and recruit top IT professionals.  Some of the methods we use are the Internet, newspapers and Recruiting Career Fairs.  However, we feel that our best source for finding quality consultants is through our referral program.  We currently have a referral bonus program here at Keystone.
  • After finding a candidate, the recruiter follows a thorough phone interview format to verify the candidate's job history and interests.  This is done either over the phone or face to face.
  • After the initial interview the candidate is brought into the office for a brief meeting.  This is done primarily to find out if the consultant handles himself or herself in a professional manner.  While technical skills are of great importance we feel that most firms are focused on good communication skills.  This meeting along with the initial interview helps us gauge these skills.
  • If the candidate is a solid professional with good communication skills, he or she is given a technical interview.  This is done either in house or over the Internet via one of our search engines.  This test helps to verify the resume and to identify the candidates' technical strengths.
  • If the candidate does well, we will continue the process by checking references.  An acceptable reference is a professional, technical superior from another assignment or a previous permanent position.  We require three references from each candidate.
  • After this screening process, we begin matching the consultant with our current client orders.  Considered in this matching are skill set, position description, rate, location, and environment.
  • When we feel we have a good match, the account manager will review the candidate's folder and, if everything is in line, present the candidate to your firm.  We do this by faxing, e-mailing, or physically presenting the candidate.  The presentation contains a resume, in Keystone format, and an executive summary.
  • If your firm decides to interview a Keystone candidate, an account manager will accompany the candidate and, whenever possible, sit in on the interview.  Our experiences in sitting in on interviews have been very positive but it is entirely up to the client.
  • After you have interviewed a candidate and would like to bring the candidate on as a consultant, we will contact the consultant and establish a convenient start date.
  • After the consultant begins work, Keystone will not be out of the loop.  Our firm prides itself on our relationships with existing consultants.  Each consultant has a direct KCA contact at our Fort Washington office for administrative questions as well as technical questions and discussion.  In addition we meet personally with our consultants on a regular basis.  This allows us to stay on top of the situation and any problems that might occur.
  • This whole process from start to finish, depending on client response, can be completed very quickly.
